At the same time, the municipality offers large green spaces for walking and relaxing.
Micro-location
The Paulus quarter is located in the northern borough. The Paulus quarter is a residential area around St Paul's Church on the Hasenberg, which once gave it its name. It is located in the north of Halle between Paracelsusstrasse, Reilstrasse and Ludwig-Wucherer-Strasse. The Wilhelminian Quarter is one of the most attractive residential areas in Halle, characterised by buildings from the typical styles of the time: Historicism, Youth Style and New Objectivity. Around 12,000 people live in the Paulus quarter in Halle. The quarter was built in the 20th century as a centre for well-off citizens and is still a very prestigious place to live in the city today.
The circular Rathenauplatz is located around St Paul's Church. The streets run in a star shape from this square. Among them is Schleiermacherstrasse 5, which is only 400 metres away to the north-west of St Paul's Church. The quiet residential area is not far from the city centre. A shopping street is only a 5-minute walk away, along which you will find a variety of restaurants, bars, grocery shops and pharmacies. Dittenbergerstrasse 6 is 800 metres away to the south-east of St Paul's Church. From there, the shopping street is also within a few minutes' walk. The Paracelsusstrasse class A road and the city railway stop at the water tower can also be reached in 500 metres.
