What does "bearer debenture" mean?

The debenture bond, also called a bond, is a first-ranking security for which the investor receives interest. A bond is divided into partial bonds at the nominal amount stated in each case. With a bond, the investor transfers a certain amount to the issuer of the bond for a certain period of time. The issuer of the bond in turn undertakes towards you as the creditor of the monetary claim to repay the debt at the end of the term. It must also pay interest on the amount at a fixed rate on an ongoing basis.

The contract is transferred to the heir(s) with all rights and obligations in the event of death. The laws of descent and distribution of the investor's country of origin apply.

Which tax issues have to be considered?

The individual customer is responsible for paying taxes on the interest received. You can find out more information about this in our sales prospectus and from your tax advisor.

What are the obligations?

After conclusion of the contract, the customer undertakes to pay the agreed contractual sum in due time. In return, the Issuer agrees to pay interest and repay the principal at the end of the contract term.
