Property location

The Baltic seaside resort of Trassenheide is located on the island of Usedom in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and has just under 950 inhabitants. This makes it one of the smallest Baltic Sea resorts on the island. Trassenheide lies between Zinnowitz and Karlshagen.

Trassenheide is home to the largest butterfly farm in Europe with an area of about 5000 m². Other attractions in the community include the Upside-Down House, an adventure crazy golf park called “Pirates of the Baltic”, Kinderland theme park and the wonderful promenades along the Baltic Sea. The Karlshagen memorial site is open to the public and serves as a reminder of the past.

From an economic perspective, Trassenheide is mainly characterised by tourism. Numerous hotels, guesthouses, restaurants and cafés provide jobs for many local residents.

There is a primary school and a daycare centre for children in Zinnowitz, only three kilometres away.

Trassenheide is only a few hundred metres from the B 111 and easily accessible by car. The infrastructure is well developed thanks to the railway. This connects Trassenheide to various neighbouring villages such as Zinnowitz and Peenemünde.

A paved cycle path to the neighbouring village of Karlshagen connects the two villages.

Wolgast is about nine kilometres away. Doctors, pharmacies and various outlets catering for everyday needs can be found in the town.

Zeltplatzstraße 14-15 in Trassenheide is only a two-minute bicycle ride from the beach. The beautiful Baltic Sea beach is virtually on the doorstep. The bistros, cafés and restaurants near the beach can be reached on foot in two to three minutes. The Trassenheide Kurplatz (spa square) is only 500 metres away.

Trassenheide’s dog beach is also in the direct vicinity.

The centre of Trassenheide is about 1.5 kilometres away and can be easily reached by bicycle in five minutes. A daycare centre, various bistros, a bakery and a bicycle rental service can be found in Trassenheide.

The highlights of Trassenheide are about 2.5 kilometres away. These are the butterfly farm, which is known beyond the region, Kinderland theme park, a waxworks and the Upside-Down House, with the title "The world is upside down". The nearby “Mölschow” Dino Park is five kilometres away.

The infrastructure connections are very good with the B 111 at a distance of 3.5 kilometres. Peenemünde, Zinnowitz and Karlshagen can be flexibly reached without a car via “Trassenmoor" railway station, which is only 800 metres away.

The nearby town of Zinnowitz with its various shopping facilities, railway station, pier and a variety of restaurants and shops is only three kilometres away.
