Property location

Macro-location

Hohen Neuendorf is a town in the Oberhavel district of Brandenburg. Since the 1990s, it has been one of the places with the most dynamic population growth in the Berlin hinterland and now already has more than 26,000 inhabitants. The main reasons for this are the attractive surroundings which are rich in water and forests, the favourable location and the excellent transport connections. Hohen Neuendorf extends to the banks of the Havel River in the west and, with its eastern district of Bergfelde, to the Barnim Nature Park. It is adjoined by Birkenwerder to the north, while the town is bordered by Heiligensee and Frohnau – two areas in the Reinickendorf district of Berlin – directly to the south. Hohen Neuendorf is connected to the Berlin suburban railway network and has excellent connections to the regional and supra-regional road network via the A10 and A111 autobahns and the B96 and B96a federal highways. There are several bus lines in the town.

Excellent local infrastructure

Hohen Neuendorf and its districts have a well-developed infrastructure, numerous shopping facilities such as the Hohen Neuendorf Trade and Service Centre and the garden centre in Borgsdorf, as well as a number of hotels and restaurants. The three-storey Chinese-style tower structure, the Himmelspagode (Heavenly Pagoda), was built in 2002 and is well known even beyond the borders of Hohen Neuendorf. The building houses a Chinese restaurant and is modelled on the architecture of Beijing's Temple of Heaven. The local economy is also characterised by numerous service companies and commercial enterprises, including several construction companies and tradesmen. Hohen Neuendorf has several children’s day-care centres and primary schools, a secondary school and a grammar school, as well as multiple medical practices.

A wide range of activities for leisure, sport and tourism

Hohen Neuendorf offers various options for leisure and sport. There are quite a few sports facilities and sports halls in the town, as well as a number of sports clubs with different areas of focus. Golfers can enjoy the two 18-hole golf courses of the Berlin Stolper Heide Golf Club. The surrounding forests and the nearby Briesetal valley are ideal for hiking, and thanks to its location, Hohen Neuendorf is just as convenient as a starting point for tours of the surrounding Brandenburg region as it is for excursions to the nearby federal capital with its diverse cultural amenities and shopping facilities.

Micro-location

Schönfließer Straße 17 is characterised by its central location in Hohen Neuendorf. Potsdamer Platz in Berlin can be reached within half an hour without changing trains from Hohen Neuendorf suburban railway station, which is only a few metres away; Friedrichstraße or the Brandenburg Gate can be reached even faster. A hypermarket, a supermarket and a discount store are available directly in Schönfließer Straße for local provisions; the distance to them is a maximum of 600 metres. There is also a pizzeria in the immediate vicinity, as well as various shops and businesses such as a bakery and an optician.
